Guidelines for Map Editing
From Cyclopath
The following guidelines have been generally established by the community. Please follow these guidelines when editing in Cyclopath to ensure accuracy and consistency for the map. If you think a guideline should be changed or refined, please bring it up in the Cyclopath forum, http://groups.google.com/group/cyclopath-users, to achieve a consensus.
[edit] One-way streets
One way streets that are two-way for cyclists (i.e. bike lanes in both directions) should be marked "two-way".
[edit] Bridges
Bridges should be named the same as the blocks on either side. For example, there is no need to name the bridge that carries Franklin Ave across the river "Franklin Ave Bridge". This is to reduce the complexity of cue sheets.
If the name of the bridge is particularly important or special, and giving the bridge its own name enhances navigation, then it can have its own name. Example: Stone Arch Bridge.
