Selecting Objects
From Cyclopath
(Redirected from Selecting objects)
In order to edit or otherwise interact with objects such as points and blocks, you select them; an information and editing pane then appears on the left-hand side of the screen.
This page explains how selections work in Cyclopath.
In all cases, the selection can be cleared by clicking in an empty area of the map with no keys held down.
[edit] Selecting points
To select a point, simply click on it. Only one point can be selected at once.
[edit] Selecting blocks
- To select a single block, click on it.
- There are two ways to select multiple blocks:
- If you hold down the Control key (or Command on the Mac), clicking on an individual block will add it to or remove it from the selection.
- If you hold down the Shift key, you can click on an intersection, then click on another to select or deselect all blocks between the two intersections.
- The software "snaps" your clicks to the nearest intersection; a grey bubble indicates which intersection a click would snap to.
- A blue line previews which blocks will be selected or deselected when you click.
- Limitations: panning is limited while Shift is held down, and zooming after clicking on the first intersection will reset the operation.
