I think it'll be important to track changes and view those changes in various ways.
For example, I made a one-way change last week. Yesterday I road that block and found I had erred. It'd be nice if there was a tool where I could find my change and undo it.
Too, all popular wikis suffer vandalism. Having the ability to see a user's changes and to undo them will help manage that problem.
The Cyclopath text wiki lists changes and offers the chance to undo them. The geowiki should have similar capabilities.
--- A late example: there is no 10th Ave Bridge. Did someone delete it? If so It would be easier to restore that delete than to re-draw the bridge and roads leading up to it and the intersections.
Right. We have history tracking by user-defined region (watch region) and viewport (what affects the part of the map I'm looking at) planned. History by user (what changes has this user made) is certainly possible and we will keep it in mind.
We'll also be adding a "revert" feature soon to making undoing easier.
